Privacy policy

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

To provide therapy safely, I ask for you to provide me with the following information: Contact details and location, relevant health and background information, and emergency contact and GP contact details. This supports our work and allows me to contact appropriate services or your emergency contact if I have serious concerns for your safety.

I securely store this information and brief session notes on encrypted devices. Some digital services I use may store data outside the UK under approved safeguards. I retain records for eight years after our work ends and then delete them. You may access, correct, or request deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing where appropriate, and contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you have any concerns (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

Data protection complaints

If you have a concern about how I have used your personal data, you can make a complaint by contacting me at hello@sophiejacobwhite.co.uk. I will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and aim to resolve it promptly. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you have the right to raise your concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) (ico.org.uk).
